The vehicle was chassis- off restored with body and panel work by Leaping Cats, steel floors, paint by XK Engineering, trim and hood by G D Classics. Engine restoration by Chesman Motorsport.
These upgrades include, Blueprinted high compression piston re-sleeved engine with straight port head by VSE Ltd, sports cams, large valves, unleaded conversion, three 2 inch SU’s, lightened flywheel, diaphragm spring clutch, crankshaft rear lip seal conversion, Broad Speed 5 speed gear box, high pressure oil pump. Negative earth electrics, new wiring harnesses, alternator, alloy radiator with expansion tank, Kenlow fan, alloy fuel tank, EZ electric power steering, uprated fuel system, Classic Fabs stainless steel complete exhaust system, 4 pot alloy front brake calipers, modern rear brake calipers, all new hydraulic cylinders, New half shafts with lip seal conversion , new differential unit. Sound/ vibration deadening material fitted throughout. Polyurethane suspension bushes, competition roll bar, adjustable shock absorbers All parts re-chromed.
15” competition wire wheels and P4000 radial tyres. Burr walnut dashboard, Mota-lita Steering wheel.
The car has Zero miles on the clock and requires running in after restoration.

The extensive upgrades were specified by the owner who is a chartered engineer being associated with motor racing and the automotive industry for over 50 yrs. Many of his designs in various forms are still in use in classic and today’s racing cars and motor cycles.
