A rare opportunity to acquire a UK supplied, manual gearbox car with matching numbers that has just been subject to a meticulous restoration.
The car is presented in Jaguar Signal Red body colour with black leather interior trim and the owner, who oversaw the restoration, describes it as follows:
“Irrespective of the car’s original condition as purchased from the previous owner, all assemblies were dismantled and rebuilt to factory standards. All other parts were inspected and replaced where necessary to maintain the high standard of restoration.
The engine has been completely rebuilt with machining undertaken by Chesman Engineering and fitted with new pistons, liners, valves / valve seats for unleaded petrol. The same attention to detail was given to the gearbox and rear axle assemblies.
The body restoration and painting was undertaken by XK Engineering and the trimming which included a new Mohair hood, by GB Classics.
The car comes with a comprehensive history file containing all receipts, a documented rebuild statement of the work undertaken and a photographic record of the total restoration.”
This car having only completed 57 miles since restoration and with the V12 series 3 DHC models increasing in value it could be an excellent addition to a collector’s vehicle investment portfolio or to be enjoyed as a superb classic in its own right.
We are advertising this on behalf of the current owner and any interested parties will be put in direct contact with him to negotiate the sale.
