Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Roadster LHD 1973 SOLD

First registered in the USA in 1973, this E-Type Series 3 Roadster LHD stayed with its first owner until 1980 when, according to the extensive history file with the car, it was sold to a Dr. Jack Frost who kept it in dry storage until Feb 1999. The car was then bought by Chuck Stork who set about a full restoration over the following 2 years which he has documented in great detail.

The history file contains a wad of invoices for the work he had done, over 100 photographs of before and after the restoration, an article on the car from the Wisconsin Jaguar News Letter in 2002 and 4 score sheets from Jaguar Clubs of North America Concourse competitions between 2001 and 2010 where it scored 99.54, 99.94, 99.88 and 99.73. Impressive scores by any standards.

Having just arrived with us we have not yet had time to inspect it in detail but it presents as an exceptionally clean and tidy car which drives as well as it looks. It has deteriorated very little since its restoration which is a testament to the quality of the original work and the care with which Chuck has looked after the car. The odometer reading is 53188 miles and while there is insufficient documentation to verify this there are no obvious signs that it is incorrect.

We have obtained a Jaguar Heritage Certificate which confirms the engine number, gearbox number, chassis numbers and body number are all matching and that the original colour was Silver with Dark Blue trim as it is now.

Overall this is an exceptional car with an interesting history. Viewing is recommended to fully appreciate its condition.
