This Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Fixed-head coupe was, according to the Heritage Certificate, despatched to Charles Attwood in Wolverhampton on 29th August 1965 in the colour combination of Pale Primrose Yellow with Black trim. It is an original UK right hand drive matching numbers car.
We found this in a barn in the USA although we have not been able to discover how it came to be on the other side of the Atlantic. The odometer reading is 71443 miles although no documentation exists to support this. As you can see it has been fitted with the later ribbed cam covers and there are a number of inexplicable holes cut in the body. However, it is more or less complete but definitely needs a full restoration.
We have just started the restoration (December 2016) but as it is unsold it is a low priority for us. However, that can be changed if a purchaser contacts us.
At this stage we have not decided the final specification for the rebuild so this is a great opportunity to secure the vehicle and have it restored to your personal requirements.
This will be a beautiful example when finished and is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the fast appreciating first series E-Type models.
